Richard Evan Fulton comes to Beyond Tomorrow Foundation after a long association with the nonprofit and academic worlds. His experience includes extensive program development, fundraising, research, and event coordination. As a student at the University of Minnesota he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (Summa cum laude), a Master of Arts degree, and a doctorate degree. All three degrees were awarded by the Department of Anthropology where he did extensive study and teaching in social and cultural anthropology with a focus on technology transfer, environmental management, and public institutions. A few of his research areas include Native American tribal governments, water management policy, intermodal transportation, and public affairs. In his post-university work he has managed technical assistance programs, was Director of Development for a nine-state rural water and wastewater development organization, and was an assistant professor with the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Program. Born in Detroit, MI, his parents immigrated from Toronto, Canada to attend university. Having followed his academic father across the country and around the world, he considers Toronto his home town.
A Phoenix native and graduate of the University of Arizona. Erik is the managing partner and co-founder of a medical resource group "EvolvedMD" which supports and promotes the integration of behavioral health within the primary care setting.
Erik is philanthropically engaged in the Phoenix community as an active member of the GenNext venture philantrophy group and is a past board member with the Aspiring Youth Foundation, and the Children in Need Foundation. Erik has been married to his wife Brooke for 13 years and has two children, Perry and March.
